VE Day celebrations

Kids in WW2 costumes go free!

We are sorry, but this event has been postponed.  We hope to arrange another date in the future.

It’s VE Day and here at the Attraction, we are marking the 75 years since the guns fell silent at the end of the war in Europe.  On this special bank holiday, we remember the enormous sacrifices that were made at home and abroad and to celebrate as people did 75 years ago, the arrival of peace in Europe.

We’re sure many children will have made or designed WW2 costumes at school or nursery and we’d love to see them, so we’re welcoming all children who are sporting a VE day costume completely free into the Attraction when accompanied by a paying adult.

We will also be giving some prizes to our favourite costumes throughout the day. For families that are happy to, we will take photos of some of our VE day visitors and share them on our website and social channels so Beatrix Potter fans worldwide can see the fun we have at the Attraction!
