World Wildlife Fund
We have chosen to support the WWF this year as our official charity with collection boxes around the building and donations for special events - watch this space!
£16,000 raised by the Peter Rabbit™ Egg Hunt for WaterAid
The famous Lake District Egg Hunt ran for 10 years from 2008 - 2018. We have now totalled up all the money it raised over the 10 years to over £16,000. We are so proud of this achievement and to have made a difference to communities who need clean water to survive.
£9,000 raised for Children's Hospice Derian House
On Thursday 5 July 2018, the NHS turned 70, and over 1,300 visitors poured through the doors of the Attraction completely free of charge. The admission fee that each visitor would have paid was gifted by the Attraction to the Children’s Hospice, Derian House who provide palliative care for youngsters in South Lakes & Lancashire. The day was all about celebrating the achievements of the NHS, one of the nation’s most loved institutions and to appreciate the role it plays in our lives.
£2192 raised for the Bendrigg Trust & he Association for the Independence of the Disabled with the new Peter Rabbit movie
Ticket sales for the charity preview of the new Peter Rabbit Movie at the nearby Royalty Cinema & free entry to the Attraction raised a grand total of £2192.
The money was divided between two local charities – the Bendrigg Trust and the Association for the Independence of the Disabled.
£2500 to the Victoria Wood Foundation
We were delighted to donate part of our Where is Peter Rabbit? programme sales to the Victoria Wood Foundation.
£381 to Macmillan Cancer Support
It was great fun to get involved in the World's Biggest Coffee Morning with staff baking some amazing treats and the Attraction donating free coffee!
