Treasure Trail Rules & Top Tips!
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO TOOK PART
To everyone who joined us on our epic Treasure Trail, thank you. You have found 100 eggs placed across some of the most beautiful countryside. 10 of you have won amazing top prizes, 100 of you have an egg to treasure and we hope everyone else had fun looking. As it stands, we have raised a magnificent £3,300 for WaterAid.
We want everyone to have a brilliant, fun and safe day out exploring the beautiful Lake District. Follow these few rules and top tips and you will be sure to have a great day. We cannot guarantee the weather, but we can promise great prizes and wonderful views!
Please note: the event lasts as long as it takes for the eggs to all be claimed. Normally this is by around 3 or 4pm on the day!
Accessing the live map
The Treasure Trail starts at 10am on Wednesday 12 April when the eggs and clues will appear on our website via a secret link. You will receive an email with the link after donating to WaterAid on the justgiving site. If you have problems accessing the map on the day please firstly refresh your page. It may take a few minutes to see the clues as lots of people are trying to do the same but be patient! If problems persist email: [email protected] or call 015394 40873 or the egg hunt hotline 07392 603424 for assistance.
If you find an egg it is yours to keep. Please remove it from its location, take a photo of you with it and call, text or tweet us asap so we can update the map. When you contact us let us know the number on the egg so we can update the map and you can find out if yours is one of the top prizes!
Follow Treasure Trail progress
To find out what eggs have been found throughout the day you can follow progress on the Google Map or via twitter @peterrabbiteggs #PeterRabbitEggs or call the hotline: 07392 603424
Where are the eggs?
The egg markers on the map are not exact or precise. They are designed to give you a rough idea of the egg location and the clue will guide your search. The eggs will be placed in safe places on or just off public rights or way. Egg clues are sometimes literal and sometimes cryptic, there may even be the odd anagram in there too!
A family may search for as many eggs as they wish, but can only claim one of the top 10 prizes. Top prizes must be claimed by an adult. All prizes are subject to availability, non transferable and terms and conditions apply.
The legal bit
Participants in the egg hunt do so at their own risk. World of Beatrix Potter Attraction will not be held responsible for any injury or damage to personal property resulting from participation in this event.
