Explore the Attraction
Welcome to the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction. We recommend you allow 45 minutes to one hour to enjoy your walk-through self-guided tour of the exhibition & garden, and a little longer to include time to browse in the shop and have a delicious treat in the Tea Room!
Through the summer months (26 May – 2 September) we have the live theatre show ‘Where is Peter Rabbit?’ in our theatre. The theatre show lasts 1 hour and you can buy joint tickets with the exhibition and even add a Peter Rabbit appearance and food options. CLICK FOR INFO.
Area 1: The World of Beatrix PotterTM Introduction Film
The Beatrix Potter™ experience begins with a 5 minute film introducing you to the author and her stories and illustrations. The doors from the film room open to the main exhibition in which the sights and sounds of Beatrix Potter's much loved characters are magically brought to life.

The exhibition features 3D scenes from Beatrix Potter's stories, atmospheric lighting and real sounds and smells taking you straight to the pages of her beautiful stories.
Area 3: The Peter RabbitTM Garden
The Peter Rabbit™ Garden is a small show garden designed to capture the very essence of Beatrix Potter's world, from the cos lettuces that Benjamin Bunny nibbled on to the gooseberry bush where Peter got caught in a net as he tried to escape Mr. McGregor. Don't forget to view the beautiful bronze sculpture which symbolises the inspiration Potter's books has given to generations of readers and depicts three children releasing the figure of Jemima Puddle-duck.
